“My practice examines the political, physical, and economic systems surrounding ecological sustainability and energy production. I am interested in how these networks of power generation are intrinsically tied to the landscape and our perception on nature.
Playing with romantic ideas of an environment unspoiled, I search for visual notations where humans have impacted the entirety of the planet both directly and indirectly.
I am interested in questions that contemplate land use, ownership and boundary allocation, reflecting on the absurd and the inevitable. I create artwork that navigates failed inherited sustems and explores the promise of creativity and invention.
Working with scientists, engineers, research institutions, ecologists and community activists, my work creates a place for conversations that sit in the uncomfortable space between consumer and conservator while exploring systems of balance and beauty in our natural world.”
