Artist Statement

For this semester project I chose to focus on an architectural subject, which involves everyday objects and their geometric structures. Through this topic of photography, I expanded my base knowledge and grew my skills in framing, lighting, composition, and editing of my photographs.

In this project, I demonstrated the skills I learned to compose a work of art that demonstrates basic geometric shapes and lines that I saw within my daily life. I pushed myself to use more advanced editing techniques then I used in the past. Overall, I became aware how prevalent and fascinating basis structures and objects present themselves in my everyday life.
