Katie Peck (she/her) was born in San Jose, CA where she grew her strong connection to bodies of water. Peck received her MFA in the Mount Royal School of Art (Multidisciplinary MFA) at the Maryland Institute College of Art, located in Baltimore Maryland. She uses imagery and storytelling from personal narratives surrounding fishing and gardening. Using weaving, drawing, installation and puppetry she creates artworks that expand time from childhood memories but place them in the present highlighting the melancholy nature of looking backwards and forwards.
